Writing and Self-Publishing Advice and Solutions that Work

Many people want to write and it’s estimated that nine out of ten think they have a book in them. But most people who aspire to write don’t make a career out of it. Not because they don’t want to. Because they can’t. They don’t have the tools to turn their writing into a living. That’s where Writer’s Living can help. We are here to help you create strategies, get ideas, and develop solutions that will work for you. Solutions you can use to turn your writing desire into a writing business. Services

Writer’s Living is run by people who actually make a living writing. Anubhav and Monica Carter Tagore run RootSky Books, which has been providing editorial assistance to small businesses, governmental organizations, non-profits, and individual clients for years. So the insight, information, and inspiration we provide is based on real-world experience. No airy-fairy suggestions that would never work in the real world. No impractical how-to that only makes sense in a book. And no dumb advice.

In fact, you can actually build your career on the information we share. And if you want to learn even more from us than what we share on the blog, we invite you to hire us for one-on-one attention and assistance. If you like the blog, you’ll love working with us. We can help you turn your writing dream into the life you’ve been craving — whether that means becoming a published author, better paid freelance writer, or more business savvy content creator.

We can help in several ways. Here is how:

Book Ghostwriting, Editing, Design, Publishing

We provide expert book ghostwriting, editing, design, and publishing services at RootSky Books. We handle your book publishing process, taking care of every detail from concept to completion. That means we can be your ghostwriter and write the book you dream of or need for your business, or we can edit the manuscript you already have. Once the writing and editing are finished, we’ll walk the project through the rest of the process, designing the cover and interior, filing for important technical details like ISBN (we file the ISBN in your name, so you own it!), and finding the best printer from our proprietary national network of printers. You are in complete control of your project, as you approve the manuscript and the design. So you get the book project you want, all without having to take much time away from your real work. You let us know what you need, and we’ll take it from there. Check us out here or send us an email to info@rootskybooks.com to let us know what you need.

Writing Mentoring

Our writing mentoring program helps you fine-tune your current writing project and clarify your writing goals. This program is for two types of writers: the writer who has a manuscript in progress and needs help developing or refining it and the freelance writer who wants to land better work.

Writing a book now?

The track for the writer of an in-progress work includes a critique of the work, suggestions for making it better, and advice for marketing the book.

Want to land better freelance writing work?

The track for the freelance writer who wants to land better work includes a critique of the writer’s business, an in-depth discussion of the writer’s career, goals, and the current market. It also includes advice for defining the target client and marketing to this client.

Both mentoring tracks include two 30-minute phone mentoring sessions, a written critique (in-progress work critique or critique of freelance writer’s business), advice for addressing weaknesses that show up in the critique, six months of ongoing email support/mentoring.

When you come out of the mentoring program, you will have a clear path forward for making improvements in your in-progress work or freelance writing business and solid ideas for marketing your work or business.

Closed Until March 2013. Email info@writersliving.com to get on the waiting list and be among the first to hear about the Writing Mentoring Program when it reopens.
